Welcome to Gluten Free Cottage
Gluten Free Cottage was created out of my personal need to create organic, gluten free baked goods that taste good and do not compromise my husband’s food allergies. When people hear the word “gluten free” they think of cardboard or something made out of saw dust.
That’s not true here at the Cottage. For three years I have been making every effort to perfect recipes that taste just like you would expect them to because I believe you should not have to "suffer" through your gluten free dessert.
At Gluten Free Cottage all of our products are always gluten-free, artificial color free and preservative free. I have created a lot of different recipes including several that are grain-free, dairy-free, and refined sugar-free for our Paleo friends.
The goal is to create "whole" food baked goods that are reminiscent of the 1940s era when food was not genetically modified or loaded with pesticides.
Creating vintage era recipes that do not have the plastic (fondant) look or the brightly colored (artificial food color) style, but rather have a "grandma-feel" to them.
I strive for completely organic products and never use preservatives as these are homemade baked goods. Artificial colors are a big' no-no' here at the Cottage because of the well-known negative effects that these have on many people especially children.
